It looks like the delay for the album will not keep dEUS off stage this summer. A first date has been announced by the band. dEUS will perform at the Bažant Pohoda-festival at Trencín Airport in Slovakia. The festival will take place from July 7th until July 9th. Other bands on the bill include Moby, Portishead, We Have Band and Beirut.

Just noticed a couple of articles mentioning dEUS will perform the Paredes de Coura-festival in Portugal. Here's a Google Translation of this article.

Apparently Tom was in Lisbon today for Vantage Point-promo and confirmed their gig at the festival. He still remembers their last gig at the festival in 1999 and thinks it's one of the best dEUS-gig in Portugal ever. Tom also said they would return to Portugal in autumn for some clubshows.

(Since some people believe this might also be an April fool, we better wait for official confirmation)

Nice story from Steven Adam in my mailbox:

Last weekend i did a little trip with my girlfriend to antwerp. It was the first time i visited antwerp. So, yesterday evening, the first day of ourstay, we went to a sushi bar (minato, vlaamsekaai) to have a nice diner. Ok, that sounds like an boring story, but here's the unbelieveable: guess who entered the restaurant? Right, tom! I was completly excited but i didn't want to disturb him during his meal. So i waited until he went out for a smoke. So i smoked a cigarette with him and talked with him about the new album. After reading your blog, i can give you interesting news: he told me that they'll play the melt festival in germany (near berlin).

Melt Festival is scheduled from July 18th to July 20th.
