And of all their amazing back catalogue, the one song they extract today is... fucking average If You Don't Get???
I don't think I've ever seen a band lose its connection to its core fans like dEUS has on this tour. I don't want to see them anymore, it just hurts too much.

Mr./Ms. Turnpike,
Songs 1,2,3,8,10,11,12 and 13 of the set played on August 15 are part of the "amazing back catalogue" (sic)...so what are you talking about.
To all the others who have been whining and complaining on this blog : vent your frustration (jealousy?) somewhere else

If You Don't Get What You Want was so unexpected I didn't even recognised it at first LOL. I think it's a fun live track. Besides, given the original festival programme, they weren't even supposed to play that long. They did because they wanted to. So I'd rather have Any Song than none. It was a wonderful show, I mean that with all my heart. Thank you dEUS!

Dear anonymous,
I know full well which tracks are new and which ones aren't on this tour. Since the tour started, the band has only used a handful of songs, very similar setlists, night after night. What I meant is that If You Don't is a new addition to their setlist. There are so many great songs they could play, and they pick one that hasn't proved highly popular with the fans (but I may be wrong). That's a missed opportunity.
I now remember the Pocket Revolution tour with fondness -- during the very first gigs, they played more than 20 songs, including stuff like Via and Assault on Magnus, and as the tour progressed, they added other "oldies" to the set, such as Hotellounge or (heaven!) One Advice Space.
I like Vantage Point. It's kinda so-so, but it has potential - which has failed to materialize. I never thought that dEUS would become a boring live act, when they once were fireworks and you never knew what to expect.
Oh -- if I can't vent such frustration here... where then?
(Jealousy????)

Formulated well Turnpike, concerts are less and less fascinating, no surprises, a routine settles down in the group and it is not going to arrange in time.

To look the best of is even, it is necessary to be printed by a certain nostalgia, it does not seem to be any more the case of the group, it feels the effects in their performance
